The practice of listening

Travel doesn't have to mean crossing the world. Sometimes five minutes away from our everyday routine is enough to awaken something within us.

What matters is not the distance we travel, but the depth with which we experience the moment.

I love wandering through the Southwest and discovering its wonderfully quirky treasures—a roadside restaurant with four stuffed raccoons gathered around a card table, weathered signs, unexpected art, and the stories that seem to live in every small town.

These moments remind me that life is always speaking to us.

Sound and breath continue to teach me in this way.

In a sound session, we aren't trying to escape our lives. We are learning to listen more deeply. Just as travel invites us to notice what we would otherwise pass by, sound invites us to notice the subtle landscapes within ourselves—the places that have been waiting to be heard.

Whether I'm exploring a quiet desert town or holding space in a session, I'm reminded that wonder isn't found in the destination. It lives in our willingness to pause, listen, and be fully present.
